The multidisciplinary team of affiliated physicians at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston work collaboratively to provide comprehensive care to babies prior to birth, infants, children and young adults with complex heart conditions. Continued advancements in nonsurgical treatments enable the physicians to provide patients with conservative care, when appropriate. When pediatric surgery is required, the team of specialists provides specialized care focused on the best possible outcome for each child. In collaboration with pediatric services in more than 40 subspecialties, the affiliated team provides comprehensive care for newborns, children and adolescents, with the ability to transition seamlessly into adult congenital cardiac care.
