Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital features a skilled health care team with specialized training in the care of children and infants. Our team includes:

  • Case managers
  • Chaplains
  • Lactation consultants
  • Affiliated physicians
  • Nurses
  • Respiratory therapists
  • Social workers
  • Other health care professionals

Our Children’s Services include:

A Level II neonatal unit to provide care to infants generally 32 weeks’ gestational age or greater and birth weight 1,500 grams or greater who are moderately ill with problems that are expected to resolve fairly rapidly. The NICU can provide mechanical ventilation for brief durations (less than 24 hours) or continuous positive airway pressure and has personnel continuously available to provide ongoing care and to address emergencies.

Care Transfer Services:

To provide personalized care for each patient and their family, our dedicated care team may be able to arrange transportation for patients to a Memorial Hermann hospital closer to home or with the appropriate level of care. The affiliated team’s priority is to connect pediatric and neonatal patients with the Memorial Hermann facility that matches their specific needs.

If a higher level of care is needed, patients can be transported by our specialized Pediatric and Neonatal Critical Care Transport Team or Memorial Hermann Life Flight®. This includes transport to our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) at our Memorial Hermann hospitals at Katy, Memorial City, Southwest and The Woodlands, or to the Level IV NICU at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center.
