Arcade games, crafts, jersey giveaways, a mountain of toys, Clutch… AND Santa Claus! These were just a few of many highlights the Houston Rockets provided at their annual holiday party with patients at Children’s Memorial Hermann.

The Rockets took a break from their busy schedule to stop by the hospital, bringing lots of smiles, high fives, and of course, toys. Thanks to their annual toy drive benefitting Children’s Memorial Hermann, the Rockets made a huge toy display and even helped patients choose their gifts.

They didn’t stop there – the team also brought a very special VIP: Santa Claus. He made the rounds of the party alongside mascots Clutch and Topper, the Facility Dogs, and several Rockets cheerleaders. Rockets players in attendance were Jeff Green, Amen Thompson, Reed Sheppard, Jabari Smith Jr., and Aaron Holiday. They played games with the patients, signed jerseys, and even gave a few pointers while shooting hoops with the kids.

This annual event brings joy and laughter to pediatric patients during what might otherwise be a hard time to spend in the hospital.
