Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this month. In honor of this milestone, Canopy welcomed hundreds of survivors, family members, physicians and caretakers to a lively celebration at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center.

Since opening its doors in 2016, Canopy has shifted the focus for patients and caregivers from experiencing cancer to actively living and celebrating life at every stage of their journey. As survivor Brooks McLaurin stated at the event, “Canopy really saved my life.”

Serving as a home-away-from-home, Canopy provides a dedicated, nurturing environment where cancer survivors and their caregivers can access vital resources and build community connections. All programs are offered free of charge to anyone impacted by cancer, regardless of where they receive treatment or their insurance status. Popular programming includes cooking classes, support groups, custom wig fitting, yoga, and youth counseling.
