Get ready to “Fall” in love with these adorable NICU pumpkins! The tiniest patients at Children’s Memorial Hermann donned their cutest fall attire for Picture Day this week. Each year in the fall and spring, the Child Life staff provides Picture Day service to every family in the NICU. With the help of volunteer photographers, the staff dresses the babies in their outfits and even provides backdrops and props for a proper Autumn-themed portrait. It’s a day-long affair, as the staff photographs approximately 200 babies and then prints and frames a photo for each family that very day.
Picture Day is a tradition that the NICU team looks forward to each season. While a NICU stay is never easy on a family, these portrait sessions bring much needed smiles and happy memories.
