Canopy LogoAs a caring community of hope, healing and empowerment, Canopy enhances the quality of life for individuals affected by cancer and for those who support them during their journeys. Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center is proud to introduce Canopy – a first-of-its-kind cancer survivorship center in the greater Houston area. At Canopy, there are a wide variety of programs and services addressing the emotional, physical and social needs of those touched by cancer.

The goal of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center is to integrate a cancer survivorship center into the continuum of cancer care. Our strong community connection and compassionate support system make it possible for Canopy to provide programs geared towards improving the health and quality of life of cancer survivors post-diagnosis.

Due to COVID-19, Canopy's current hours of operation are 10 AM - 4 PM Monday-Thursday, and 10 AM to 2 PM on Fridays. Keep checking our website for updates to our hours of operation.

Facebook Support Group

At Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, we understand a cancer diagnosis can make you feel alone, and we therefore recognize how crucial it is to have support during this time. We have therefore created a closed Facebook group for patients and their families to both connect with each other, and receive insight, comfort and friendship.

While your child is involved in an activity, you can take advantage of Canopy’s services for yourself.

One-on-One Assistance

Canopy has an Oncology Nurse Navigator to serve as a point of contact for clinical coordination and questions regarding all cancer-related care at Memorial Hermann. A social worker is also available by appointment to provide counseling, access to community resources, and assist with advanced care planning.

Resource Library

The resource library contains much more than just books and brochures on various cancers. Our PhD volunteer can schedule time with patients and their families to conduct research of reliable sources such as UT Health’s database and PubMed. We also have a list of trusted online resources that patients and their families can use if they would like to research on their own as well.
