On the 23rd anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, Memorial Hermann hospital campuses across the greater Houston area held Patriot Day ceremonies to honor the nearly 3,000 people who died in the terror attacks, including first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on that day, as well as those who have since passed away and those still suffering from 9/11 related illnesses.
