Using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to determine risk factors or the presence of heart disease, our physicians diagnose and treat a complete spectrum of congenital and acquired heart conditions including valve defects, heart failure, heart attack and coronary artery disease. Our services range from basic screening tests to 64-slice CT (computerized tomography) coronary and peripheral vascular angiography.
Our highly experienced specialists also provide leading-edge interventional procedures to treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease.
Our Vein Clinic offers specialized care for patients with medical venous disease, where blood flow from the legs is abnormal. Venous disease is usually not dangerous or life-threatening, but it can be painful, disabling and substantially affect your quality of life.
Some common symptoms of venous disease include:
You may be predisposed to medical venous disease if you have a family history of venous disease, personal history of diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity and/or a sedentary lifestyle. Some conditions that develop because of venous disease include varicose veins, spider veins, restless leg syndrome and more. Our physicians provide a full range of treatment options for medical venous disease, including sclerotherapy, vein adhesive or radiofrequency (thermal) treatment as well as venous stent placement.
When left untreated, some venous conditions can result in superficial blood clots, increased pain, swelling and skin ulcers. Evaluation and treatment of medical vein disease is covered by most insurance plans.
All Vein Clinic consultations are scheduled on Friday mornings and in-office procedures on Thursdays. To schedule a consultation, contact our Vein Clinic Coordinator at (713) 897-7943.
