Working to become a nurse practitioner, she began rigorous graduate level education that focused on advanced physical assessment, diagnosis and management of chronic health conditions as well as critical and acute disease states.

Anita has had extensive training and education in caring for patients with cardiac disease. She is experienced in treating patients with shortness of breath or patients who have undergone coronary artery bypass grafting, cardiac ablations or valve replacements as well as patients with hypertension and those who require chronic anticoagulation for underlying heart conditions. She provides care for patients ages 18 years and older with varying degrees of cardiovascular health states, encompassing disease prevention measures through chronic cardiovascular disease management.

She is married with two children and lives in the Houston area. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, cardiovascular workouts, cooking and sewing, in addition to learning about personal finance.
