Dr. Brandon Bader earned an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Co., and a master’s degree in neurobiology and anatomy from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, N.Y. He also earned his medical degree and did his residency in internal medicine in Rochester. He completed fellowships in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Dr. Bader is board certified in three areas: internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He also has certificates in echocardiology, basic life support and adult cardiovascular life support.
He treats patients for general cardiology conditions, such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and more advanced conditions, such as narrowing in the heart arteries. Among his primary clinical interests are preventive cardiology and performing catheterization lab procedures, including placement of stents to treat blockages in the heart arteries and removal of blockages in the veins in the legs and lungs.
His approach to care centers on working with patients and creating individualized treatment plans that meet their goals. When advanced intervention is necessary, he can perform any of a whole suite of procedures to offer the most detailed and advanced treatment possible.
In his spare time Dr. Bader and his wife enjoy taking their Labrador retriever hiking or for a swim in a lake. He also enjoys paddle boarding, cycling, skiing and other outdoor activities.
