Advanced practice provider Kimberlee Spurlin is board certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN). She is an advanced cardiovascular life support instructor and holds certificates in advanced trauma life support and trauma nursing.

Kimberlee earned an associate degree in nursing from Tomball College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing (Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner), both from The University of Texas at Arlington.

She has been a nurse since 2002 and a nurse practitioner since 2019. Her primary clinical interest is critical care, particularly cardiac care, because she enjoys the complexity and rewards of caring for cardiac patients.

The daughter of a nurse, Kimberlee has always had a desire to care for people and, from a very young age, witnessed the positive affect her mother had on others. Health care provides her with an amazing opportunity to combine compassion and scientific knowledge in a way that positively impacts people’s lives.

Kimberlee, who is committed to providing the best care possible, combines compassion, empathy and honesty in her practice style. A good listener and effective communicator, she welcomes questions and concerns from patients and families with the goal of empowering them to make informed health care decisions.

Kimberlee’s professional life is driven by her firm belief in responsibility, accountability and a strong work ethic. She wants her patients to think of her as kind, knowledgeable, compassionate, trustworthy, approachable and a fierce patient advocate. Her greatest professional satisfaction comes from knowing her actions positively impacted another person’s life.
Away from the hospital she enjoys riding and competing with her Quarter Horse. An avid runner, she has completed several half marathons and hopes to work her way up to a full marathon one day.
