Dr. Bozhkova was born in Bulgaria and raised in Austin, Texas. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May 2020 from the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy. Her clinical practice interests include emergency medicine, critical care and cardiology. Additionally, Dr. Bozhkova has an interest in teaching and plans to complete the University of Houston College of Pharmacy Teaching and Scholarship in Academia Program. Upon completion of her PGY1 residency, Dr. Bozhkova plans to specialize in one of her areas of interest. Looking forwards, Dr. Bozhkova hopes to obtain a clinical position where she can combine her passion for improving patient care and training future pharmacists.
Dr. Khan was born in Hangu, Pakistan, and moved to the United States at the age of five. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May of 2020 from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. Her clinical practice interests include critical care, cardiology, and infectious disease. Upon completion of her PGY-1 residency, she plans to pursue a PGY-2 specialty residency in one of her areas of interest. Ultimately, she hopes to obtain a clinical pharmacist position with opportunities to combine patient care, research, and mentorship for future pharmacists.
Dr. Shiksha Patel, born and raised in Houston, TX, received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May 2020 at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. Her professional areas of interest include internal medicine, infectious diseases and critical care. Upon completion of her PGY1 residency, Dr. Patel plans to complete a PGY2 in one of her areas of interest. Ultimately, she aspires to obtain a clinical pharmacist position within a community hospital where she can advance the role pharmacy through direct patient care, teaching, and research.
