Aldine ISD and Memorial Hermann’s Health Education and Leadership (HEAL) High School has officially broken ground on the mock hospital space that will be located within the school. The former gymnasium and surrounding areas within the school are being converted into a 6,054-square-foot space that will house mock hospital rooms, physical therapy spaces, real imaging (X-Ray) equipment and much more. This will allow the students of HEAL High School to receive realistic hands-on training that will properly prepare them to enter the healthcare workforce after graduation. The inaugural class of HEAL High School is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2028.

As part of the celebration, the inaugural class of freshman students donned hardhats and entered the construction area to sign a portion of the wall that has been preserved so that they can physically leave their mark on the school. The space is set to be completed and in-use by the students in September of 2025, just after the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
