As one of Houston’s free-standing heart hospitals located outside of the Texas Medical Center, the Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute at Memorial Hermann Southwest offers patients leading-edge technology and innovative cardiovascular programs. One of the most superior cardiovascular care facilities in the nation, the Institute provides advanced diagnostic screenings, cardiac catheterization labs, interventional radiology suites, electrophysiology labs and minimally invasive hybrid endovascular surgical suites.
At the Heart Valve Clinic, specialists affiliated with the Institute use a multidisciplinary approach to diagnose and treat heart murmurs. The Clinic is the only site in Houston outside of the Texas Medical Center approved to perform the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) for patients unable to go traditional open-heart surgery.
As one of the most advanced neuroscience centers in Houston with dozens of affiliated neurologists and neurosurgeons on staff, we provide our patients with round-the-clock access to specialists to help diagnose and treat a broad range of neurological conditions. Patients benefit from comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, specialized care for complex conditions, state-of-the-art technology, and innovative therapies and techniques.
The program features advanced robotic imaging technology and provides a dedicated 16-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, which enables the neurology team to care for patients suffering from catastrophic brain injuries and neurological disorders.
Recognized by The Joint Commission (TJC) as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Memorial Hermann Southwest is equipped to rapidly diagnose and treat stroke victims. We also evaluate and treat patients transported from other stroke centers.
Memorial Hermann Southwest is a designated Level IV trauma center with the ability to provide advanced trauma life support, evaluation, stabilization and diagnostic services. If the situation demands, transfer agreements and protocols allow patients to be transferred quickly to a higher level of care.
Comprehensive cancer services include a dedicated Breast Care Center, imaging services, diagnostic testing and medical/surgical oncology.

The Endoscopy Center at Memorial Hermann Southwest has highly-trained affiliated-physicians and staff with the latest in endoscopic technology. The Center is also home to the Direct Access Program which allows patients to directly schedule a colonoscopy without having to get a doctor's referral.
Memorial Hermann Southwest provides high-quality imaging services utilizing advanced technology and equipment. The skilled, affiliated imaging professionals at the Center are committed to delivering efficient and accurate imaging results. The center accepts imaging orders from any referring physician.
