Family physician Dr. Eleanor Tennyson is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. She earned her medical degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School and completed her residency in the Memorial Family Medicine Program of the Memorial Hermann Health System. Dr. Tennyson is board certified in family practice. Her key interests are women's health and chronic disease management.
Family physician Dr. Kiran Gandhi earned her medical degree from the University of Bombay, India, and completed her residency at Long Island College Hospital, New York. Board certified in internal medicine, she provides comprehensive acute care, preventive care and immunizations for patients aged 15 years and older. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati. Her clinical interests include diabetes, ulcers, hypertension and asthma.
Family physician Dr. Carmen Herrera earned her medical degree at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School in Houston and completed her residency in the Memorial Family Medicine Program of the Memorial Hermann Health System. Board certified in family medicine, she provides preventive care, well-woman exams, colonoscopies and mammograms. Her primary clinical interests are diabetes, blood pressure, asthma and allergies. She is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Juan Montoya received his medical degree at the Universidad Del Notre in Barranquilla, Colombia and completed his residency at Presence Saint Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Montoya treats patients from 6 years to adults. Fluent in Spanish, he sees patients for acute illnesses, management of chronic diseases, immunizations, PAP smear and annual child and adult physicals. His clinical interests include diabetes, hypertension, COPD and obesity.
Dr. Mabel Perez earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin School of Medicine. She completed her internship at the Texas Research Institute of Mental Sciences in Houston her residency in psychiatry at The University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Florida. Her primary clinical interests are chronic disease, weight control and nutrition.
Board certified by the American Board of Family of Medicine, Dr. Dhiekson Silva., received his undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University and his medical degree from Central America Health Sciences University in Belize. He completed his internship and residency from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso where he served as Chief Resident during his last year of training. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Dr. Silva sees patients for acute episodic care, annual wellness exams, well-child visits and treatment of chronic diseases like hypertension and diabetes.
Nurse practitioner Joanna Johnson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University. She sees patients from newborns to adults and has a special interest in women’s health, preventive medicine and early detection and treatment of various chronic diseases.
All pediatric patients are required to be up-to-date on all immunizations or scheduled to receive recommended immunizations when visiting Memorial Hermann Medical Group practice locations unless there is a medical reason that the child cannot be completely vaccinated.
In accordance with the immunization schedule published by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CSC), the pediatricians of Memorial Hermann Medical Group recommend all children receive vaccinations for the safety and wellbeing of each child and the community.
