General Information

Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, a member of the Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Network, affiliated with TIRR Memorial Hermann, offers multidisciplinary inpatient medical rehabilitation. The hospital’s inpatient center is designed to help patients maximize their potential following an injury or illness. A team of experts will customize your treatment plan based on your own unique lifestyle, occupation and personal goals, which helps to create results that are more than positive; they’re life changing.

This Inpatient Rehabilitation program has proudly served the Bay Area community since 1986. It shares facilities with Memorial Hermann Southeast Acute Care hospital, a 274-bed facility, which allows for direct access to acute medical and diagnostic needs. Our interdisciplinary therapy plans have allowed us to get our patients back to the life they love. Through the Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Network we continue to focus on innovating and expanding our services to provide leading rehabilitation to the Greater Houston Area, so we can best serve our communities.

Visitor Information

For a hospital tour, please come by Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Visiting hours are after 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or all day Sunday.

Scope of Services & Admission Criteria

Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital offers inpatient rehabilitation in a licensed, 14-bed, acute inpatient rehabilitation unit located on the 2nd floor of the hospital.

The inpatient rehabilitation unit at Memorial Hermann Southeast is designed to help patients reach the highest level of independence following an injury or illness. We provide rehabilitative care for individuals with many different debilitating injuries, illnesses and other serious medical conditions. Our patients benefit from the highly specialized care provided through our inpatient rehabilitation programs for patients 18 years of age and older.

The inpatient rehabilitation unit at Memorial Hermann Southeast is committed to bringing comprehensive rehabilitation services to the Bay area. Although the majority of our referrals come from acute-care hospitals, we also receive referral from other sources, - including, but not limited to, physician offices and skilled nursing facilities.

Each patient admitted to the inpatient rehabilitation unit is expected to have a diagnosis/condition which is known to benefit from comprehensive rehabilitation intervention. Functional limitations may include any of the following:

Patients admitted for inpatient rehabilitation services* are expected to meet the following criteria:

Although the majority of our referrals come from acute-care hospitals, we also receive referral from other sources, - including, but not limited to, physician offices and skilled nursing facilities.

Funding sources may include private insurance, worker’s compensation, government programs (i.e., Medicare) and self-pay. In addition, charity care can be provided in accordance with the appropriate guidelines.

Parking Information

There is a surface lot in the front of the hospital. If the surface lot is full, please park at the north parking lot. Take bus that will drop you off at main entrance or medical plaza 1 or 2. Follow signage or ask information desk.
