Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center in League City Celebrates 5th Anniversary

The last several years have been a time of incredible growth and expansion in the Bay Area, and Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center in League City has grown right along with the community, providing high-quality health care to local families.

Five years ago, in 2018, the Convenient Care Center opened its doors to fill an important need, giving neighbors one-stop, highly coordinated access to a wide range of Memorial Hermann’s quality health care services in a single location, right in their own community. In 2018, the Convenient Care Center saw 4,500 emergency-room patients. During the last five years, that number has grown to more than 9,000 patients treated annually.

“Our top-notch physicians, nurses and staff are truly dedicated to each patient,” said Andrea Faz, vice president, ambulatory services, Memorial Hermann Health System. “It is the ability to provide personalized care for our community, that is both innovative and compassionate, that has led to our consistently high marks in patient satisfaction.”

Since its opening, the Convenient Care Center has been dedicated to making the health care process simpler and more convenient by providing primary, specialty and breast care as well as physical therapy and diagnostic imaging, including X-ray and ultrasound technology, along with 24-hour emergency care all under one roof.

“I have had the pleasure of watching our Emergency Center grow and improve with every passing year, as we serve this community,” said Kelsea Krueger, RN, BSN, Convenient Care Center in League City. “We have patients come back to us repeatedly for their emergencies because they love how they were treated. They have told us we treat them like family, and that is one of our biggest priorities. We go above and beyond to meet the needs of our patients.”

“The Convenient Care Center in League City has become like a second home to many of us who have been here for the five years it has been open,” said Austin Willis, RN, BSN, Convenient Care Center in League City. “We have made it a top priority to provide quick, quality, efficient care.”

Looking forward, the 47,000-square-foot Convenient Care Center is ready to continue to meet the area’s explosive population growth. As increasing numbers of people are moving into the area, Memorial Hermann is adding health care providers and expanding resources, staying committed to its patient-centered principles as a trusted leader in Greater Houston.

“Having a Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation clinic farther south, within the CCC, has been a real benefit to the community, especially with so many people moving to the area,” said Lanette Meeks, physical therapist, clinic manager, Convenient Care Center in League City. “Patients in areas like Santa Fe and Dickinson can access health care in League City much more easily than before our center opened.”

After five years of serving local families, the Convenient Care Center is ready for another five years (and beyond). “The Memorial Hermann name speaks for itself,” Meeks said. “Our personalized treatment keeps patients coming back, and we are proud to care for our neighbors.”
