The Ertan Digestive Disease Center (EDDC) at the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center under the direction of Dr. Atilla Ertan is recognized internationally for providing outstanding clinical care, developing innovative diagnostic and therapeutic protocols and utilizing cutting-edge technology and treatments with multidisciplinary and integrated academic approach. The EDDC Procedures and clinic volumes have witnessed dramatic growth since the EDDC’s inception in 2012. Last year alone, there were more than 7,000 procedures and more than 10,000 clinic visits. The EDDC provided care to patients from nine countries, 14 states and referrals from all over Texas with a multidisciplinary and integrated approach.

This year, U.S. News & World Report named EDDC as the #2 hospital in Texas and #34 in the nation out of 1,575 other established programs for Gastroenterology and GI Surgery. In partnership with McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, the EDDC continues to foster academic collaboration to conduct and produce meaningful quality research in addition to postgraduate education, while enhancing patient lives.

These accomplishments would not be possible without the continuous support of the EDDC’s grateful patients and generous friends, like you. While the face of healthcare will continue to change in coming years, one fact remains: the role of clinical research and postgraduate education will remain vitally important to the future of medicine. Your generosity will help the Dr. Ertan and his team continue to realize even greater advancement to change the landscape of digestive health.
