Dr. Omare Okotie-Eboh earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry and cell biology at Rice University and his medical degree at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, where he completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics.

Dr. Okotie-Eboh specializes in internal medicine and pediatrics. He treats patients of all ages.

His primary clinical interests include obesity, mental health for children and adults, adolescent medicine and men’s and women’s health. He sees pediatric patients for general care, as well as sports medicine, asthma and obesity. For adults, he helps manage general healthcare and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).

His approach to care is to make sure the patient feels heard and listened to from the very beginning. He hopes they see him as a down-to-earth person who values kindness and compassion.

Dr. Okotie-Eboh is a member of the Texas Pediatric Society, American Medical Association and Society of General Internal Medicine.

When he is away from his practice, he enjoys playing the electric bass guitar and at least 10 other instruments (all of which he taught himself), baking and cooking, cycling, weight lifting and swing dancing.
