Dr. Sahar Jamalyaria, DO

Dr. Sahar Jamalyaria earned her undergraduate degree in neurobiology from The University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree from The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. She completed her residency at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center, where she was awarded outstanding resident in her class.

Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Jamalyaria sees patients of all ages and has working proficiency in both Spanish and Persian. 

Dr. Sahar Jamalyaria treats a wide range of primary care conditions. These include chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety, and depression, and acute illnesses such as common colds and injuries. She also offers preventive care, including annual wellness visits, school physicals, and well woman exams. Her clinical interests include management of chronic conditions and preventive medicine. 

She understands that people need to be heard and believes active listening is the first step in uncovering the causes of a problem and coming to a solution. 

Away from her practice, Dr. Jamalyaria enjoys volunteering, gardening, exercising, reading, and traveling.
