Dominic was only 18-months-old when he followed the family dog out the back door and fell into the family’s hot tub. He was transported to the emergency room at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital. During his stay, he was put on ECMO, which is an advanced life support treatment for critically ill patients with life-threatening heart and/or lung problems. Dr. Matthew Harting operated on Dominic multiple times, and he finally began to recover. His journey in the days, weeks and months following the accident has the Larkin family celebrating the gift of life this holiday season.
