Memorial Hermann Warriors

After I got the COVID-19 diagnosis, I ended up in the ER at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center on July 7, 2020. My blood oxygen level was 70%; my lungs were shutting down and I did not think I would make it. I knew I was at a high risk of having a bad outcome from COVID-19 due to my medical history which includes being a three-time cancer survivor, one of which was Stage 4 lung cancer.

The emergency room doctor came in immediately and said something I’ll never forget, “You got the COVID, man. Don’t worry, we’re going to get you out of here, you will be OK.” And they did just that.

The doctors and nurses at Memorial Hermann are brave warriors. They don’t run from a fight. They ran into my room and attacked the COVID-19 virus my body was battling just like they have done for so many other patients. I cannot thank them, as well as countless others, enough for pulling me through. That week they became my family. The courage they showed in fighting this virus was truly something to witness firsthand. I truly believe the protocol used on me saved my life. Memorial Hermann’s warriors cured me of COVID-19.

They helped me win my battle. Their war is ongoing, and I want to help them like they helped me. The Memorial Hermann warriors work hard, long hours, and go beyond what is asked of them. They deserve to be honored and rewarded for their bravery and service to the community.

Please join me in donating to support the warriors of Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center where I was treated. All donations will go directly to their COVID-19 Response Fund to help the warriors who battle against COVID-19 daily.

Stay Safe,
Danny Davis
