Dr. Shawn Mathur, MD

Dr. Shawn Mathur earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed his residency in urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Board certified in urology, Dr. Mathur has practiced in the Houston area since 2018. He treats patients ages 18 and older. His primary clinical interests are kidney stones, genitourinary cancers, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)/enlarged prostate, urinary incontinence, recurrent urinary tract infections, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy, male infertility, and urethral strictures. He also speaks some Spanish and Hindi.

His practice philosophy focuses on providing quality, individualized care to his patients. Because he wants patients to strive for better health, he encourages them to be active participants in their health care journey. Patients appreciate that he takes time to listen to them, answers their questions thoroughly and cares for their overall well-being.

A resident of Houston, Dr. Mathur is married and in his leisure time enjoys playing electric guitar, tennis and golf as well as traveling around the world.
