Dr. Samir Shirodkar grew up in Tyler, Texas, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania.  He attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, and completed an internship and Urology residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital Program in Miami, Florida. During his residency, he served as chief resident and also received the Robert Zeppa Award for his research and clinical work.

Board certified in urology, Dr. Shirodkar has been treating patients in Montgomery County for more than 2 years. He believes in taking a partnership approach with each patient, which has won him a loyal area following.

His clinical interests include advanced urological cancer techniques, including laparoscopic (key-hole) and robotic surgery.  A prolific published medical writer, Dr. Shirodkar has written scientific papers on topics  ranging from kidney transplantation to genetic research of urological, prostate, and kidney cancers.
