Dr. Richard Kim, MD

Dr. Richard Kim earned his undergraduate degree in molecular and cell biology at the University of California, Berkeley and his medical degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He completed his internship at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and his UTHealth residency at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Hermann Hospital, Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Dr. Kim is board certified in urology. With clinical interests focusing on general urology, he treats kidney stones, prostate problems, sexual dysfunction including erection and hormonal issues, and pelvic floor problems including incontinence and prolapse of female organs. He performs minimally invasive urology-associated surgeries.

Dr. Kim stresses good communication, understanding patients’ symptoms and expectations, and working with them to formulate a treatment plan that meets their health care needs. He wants his patients to see him as a physician who really cares and who makes them feel comfortable, safe and confident that they’re getting the best possible care.
