Dr. Ajay Kwatra, MD

Originally from the Dallas area, Dr. Ajay Kwatra carries on a family tradition, following in the footsteps of his father, a retired physician. Before pursuing his medical career, Dr. Kwatra attended Rice University as a National Merit Scholar and graduated with a degree in electrical engineering. After working as an engineer, he decided that serving people through medicine was his true calling. He earned his medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed his residency in urology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Board certified in urology, Dr. Kwatra has been practicing in The Woodlands and Conroe areas since 1999. His clinical interests include incontinence, impotence, low testosterone, prostate problems, kidney stones.

As personable as he is professional, Dr. Kwatra is committed to his patient’s urological health, as well as their dignity and well-being. He explains to his patients what problem they are having in terms they can understand and guides them in making decisions. He sees the doctor-patient relationship as a partnership. He treats patients five years and older. Dr. Kwatra is a member of American Urological Association and South Central Urology Section of the American Urological Association.

Dr. Kwatra is married to Dr. Faye Johnson, a practicing medical oncologist. They have two children and live in Montgomery County. When away from his practice, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, photography and traveling.
