Dr. Rajat Bhatt, MD

Dr. Rajat Bhatt earned his medical degree at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College in India and did his internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Bronx, New York. He completed a fellowship in echocardiology at Houston Methodist Hospital’s DeBakey Cardiology Associates, followed by a second fellowship in rheumatology at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.

Dr. Bhatt is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. In practice since 2004, he treats patients 15 years and older. He speaks fluent Hindi and is also conversant in German.

His clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, back pain, fibromyalgia, gout, giant cell arteritis (temporal arteritis), joint injection/aspiration, Lyme disease, myopathies, osteoarthritis (OA), osteoporosis and corticosteroid-induced osteoporosis, polymyalgia rheumatica, pseudogout, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), scleroderma, Sjogren's syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), tendonitis/bursitis, vasculitis, bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, lupus and anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA).

Dr. Bhatt’s practice philosophy focuses on compassionate, collaborative, patient-centered care. He is an innovative physician who is willing to try newer treatments as well as natural/alternative treatments.

A resident of Katy, Dr. Bhatt is married and the father of two young children. Away from his practice, his favorite pastimes are reading, bicycling, swimming and travel.
