Dr. Mohammad Ursani, MD

Raised in Los Angeles, Calif., Mohammad Ursani, MD, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in molecular, cell and developmental biology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His passion for molecular biology and genetics led him to participate in research, where he gained exposure to immunology and gene expression.

Dr. Ursani then earned his medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine (RUCM) in Portsmouth, Dominica. He went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at the School of Health and Medical Science at Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J., where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. Pursuing his interest in autoimmunity and immune system dysregulation throughout his undergraduate and graduate training, Dr. Ursani then completed a rheumatology fellowship with Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

During his fellowship, he was chosen as one of the top 40 nationally recognized rheumatology fellows in training to participate in musculoskeletal ultrasound training through the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists (USSONAR). His interest in bone health led him to concentrate his research during fellowship on osteoporosis in patients with a history of breast cancer at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Triple board certified in rheumatology, musculoskeletal ultrasound in rheumatology, and internal medicine, Dr. Ursani also received a certification in clinical densitometry from the International Society of Clinical Densitometry (ISCD). In addition, he is a member of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), the Texas Medical Association (TMA), the American College of Physicians (ACP), the Harris County Medical Society (HCMS) and ISCD.

Dr. Ursani is also a published author in medical journals. He has given oral presentations at national and international conferences, and was recognized with an award in clinical investigation.

He cares for patients living in Conroe, Crosby, Cypress, Houston, Huffman, Hufsmith, Humble, Magnolia, New Caney, North Houston, Pinehurst, Porter, Spring and Tomball.

When he is not caring for his patients, Dr. Ursani enjoys running, playing the guitar and spending time with his family.
