Dr. Amber Khan, MD

Dr. Amber Khan earned her medical degree at Aga Khan Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Khan, who has been in practice since 2006, is board certified in rheumatology, with primary clinical interests in ankylosing spondylitis, vasculitis, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. She treats patients 17 and older and also speaks Urdu and Spanish. The practice offers patients the convenience of access to advanced diagnostic and treatment onsite.

Having lived with family members suffering from autoimmune disease, Dr. Khan offers patients genuine understanding and compassion for the pain and disabling fatigue they experience. She explains in layman’s terms the cause of every symptom--a process that relieves patient anxiety, which is a crucial part of managing autoimmune conditions.

She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the Texas Medical Association.

A resident of Houston, Dr. Khan is married and the mother of two children. Her favorite leisure activities include spending quality time with her family and travelling.
