Dr. Abida Hasan earned her medical degree at A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in rheumatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. At SUNY, she was the first woman to receive the Dr. Douglas Mund Award as a resident and the chief rheumatology fellow during the last year of her fellowship.
Dr. Hasan, who has been in practice since 2018, is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. She sees patients ages 18 and older and provides diagnosis and treatment for diseases that affect joints, muscles, bones and connective tissues, including inflammatory and autoimmune conditions.
Focused on delivering high-quality care in a patient-centered practice, Dr. Hasan works to improve her patients’ quality of life. She educates them about their autoimmune diseases, listens to their concerns and helps them return to active lifestyles.
Dr. Hasan is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the State of Texas Association of Rheumatologists.
A resident of Houston, Dr. Hasan is married and the mother of two children. Away from her practice she enjoys spending time with family and friends, sewing and boxing.
