Dr. Atul Matta, MD

Dr. Atul Matta earned his medical degree in India at MediCiti Institute of Medical Sciences. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore and a residency in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pa.

In practice since 2012, Dr. Matta is board certified in three areas: pulmonary diseases, internal medicine and critical care medicine. He treats patients ages 18 and older. He also speaks Hindi, Urdu and Telugu.

Dr. Matta is dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with chronic lung conditions.

His primary clinical interests include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, asthma, interstitial lung disease, evaluation of lung nodules and lung masses, chronic cough, pleural diseases, pulmonary hypertension and advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy.

He provides quality, individualized care with a focus on education. He encourages patients to actively participate in their health care and inspires them to improve their health.

A resident of Houston, Dr. Matta is married and enjoys world travel, pickleball and photography in his leisure time.
