Dr. Teodoro Sanchez-Burgos, MD

Dr. Teodoro Y. Sanchez Burgos began his medical education and training at the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán in Mérida, Mexico. After earning his medical degree, he completed an internship at the Hospital de Pediatria Centro Medico Nacional in Mexico.

In 1975, Dr. Sanchez Burgos moved to Houston to continue his training with McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. He completed his residency at  Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, and his fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center,  The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Sanchez Burgos cares for patients ages 18 years and younger. He specializes in allergies (allergic diseases), asthma (reactive airway disease), child obesity, newborns and preventive medicine.

Patients in Alief, Bellaire, Houston, Missouri City, Stafford and Sugar Land enjoy his approachable nature and compassionate bedside manner. He takes time with each family to ensure the patient’s care plan is clearly understood. He also is fluent in Spanish and accepts walk-ins at his clinic.

When he is away from his patients, Dr. Burgos Sanchez enjoys reading medical literature or spending time with his growing family, which includes four children, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
