Dr. Talynn Hanissian, MD

Dr. Talynn Hanissian earned her medical degree at State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine (SUNY) in Brooklyn, New York, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee, and subsequently, her fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.

Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology, Dr. Hanissian has practiced medicine in Boston and Houston since 1984. Her clinical interests include nutrition, obesity, gastroenterology problems and preventive care. She treats patients from newborns to age 21.

Personable and comforting, Dr. Hanissian takes a preventive approach to medicine. She provides comprehensive pediatric care, from checkups to emergency interventions. The mother of seven, she has years of experience in being both a pediatrician and parent. Dr. Hanissian enjoys the diversity of her community and respects the cultural nuances of her patients. She and her staff speak Spanish, Armenian, Turkish and Vietnamese.

Dr. Hanissian and her husband live in the Museum District. She enjoys hiking, playing the piano, and going to art museums and the theater.
