Dr. Rachel McConnell, MD

A native Texan, Dr. Rachel McConnell earned her medical degree and completed her residency training in pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Her practice is located in Shenandoah, where she grew up.

Board certified in pediatrics, she has practiced medicine since 2008. Dr. McConnell has clinical interests that include preventive care, newborns, childhood obesity and early childhood development.

Dr. McConnell is dedicated to providing excellent individualized care as well as creating a comfortable and fun setting for her patients who range in age from newborns to 18. Families value that she is a good listener and can speak from both a physician’s and parent’s perspective. She strives to develop a trusting relationship with both her patients and their parents.

A resident of Shenandoah, Dr. McConnell enjoys spending time with her three children, gardening, sewing and volunteering at her children’s school.
