Dr. Michelle Suhendra earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed her internship and residency at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston).
Dr Suhendra, who is board certified in pediatrics, has been in practice in the Houston area since 2012 and in The Woodlands since 2020. She offers a broad range of pediatric services for patients through age 18, including prenatal visits and consultation, newborn care, checkups, school and sports physicals, vaccinations, vision and hearing screenings and ADHD assessment. She provides treatment for conditions including fever, ear pain, colds, flu, asthma, allergies, rashes, constipation and diarrhea.
A mother herself, Dr. Suhendra approaches her practice from a parent's perspective. She works to relate to her patients and gain trust by bringing up things that are developmentally appropriate. She emphasizes communication with her patients parents and seeks to develop partnerships with her patients and their families. This active role, she believes, leads to better treatment decisions and outcomes.
Dr. Suhendra, who lives in The Woodlands, is married to a physician and the mother of three children. Away from her practice, she enjoys traveling (especially to new islands, Canada and all places Disney), family bike rides, watching movies, swimming, photo-booking, crafting and baking.
