Dr. Lora Gilreath earned her medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis, Tenn., and completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
Dr. Gilreath, who is board certified in pediatrics, sees newborns through age 18 for acute childhood illnesses and injuries, as well as management of chronic conditions, including eczema, allergies and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). A fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she has been in practice in Houston since 1997.
Her primary clinical interest focuses on preventive medicine, because she believes firmly that early intervention and small lifestyle changes can improve long-term health and give better outcomes for treatments.
As both an experienced pediatrician and a mother, Dr. Gilreath recognizes that good communication, education and teamwork are key to helping young patients thrive. She strives to make them feel comfortable, heard and supported. Her patients and their parents appreciate her compassion, dedication and thoroughness, as well as the ease of talking with her.
A resident of Sugar Land, Dr. Gilreath is married and the mother of two. Away from her practice, she enjoys running, biking and spending quality time with her husband and children.
