Dr. Kavita Bapat, MD

After finishing undergraduate degrees in physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics, Dr. Kavita Bapat earned her medical degree at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College in Mumbai, India. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock.

Dr Bapat, who has been in practice since 2005, is board certified in pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her primary clinical interests include neonatal ICU graduates and children with special needs. She also speaks Hindi and medical Spanish.

Connecting with patients and their families, which is the foundation of her practice philosophy, gives Dr. Bapat her greatest satisfaction. She understands that children are the most delicate and vulnerable of patients.

Dr. Bapat lives in the Texas Medical Center area. Her favorite leisure activities are traveling, spending time with her family, gardening, painting and volunteering for animal welfare groups.
