A South Texas native, Dr. Potts decided to become a doctor at an early age when she gained an affinity for science and anatomy. This childhood education, coupled with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others, inspired Dr. Potts to want to help those in her community.
Dr. Potts earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. She went on to complete her internship and residency at the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Board-certified in pediatrics, Dr. Potts sees patients from newborn to age 18. Dr. Potts has been in practice since 1999 and her special interests include newborns, asthma, growth and development, and childhood obesity.
Dr. Potts believes in working as a partner with parents and their children. She takes the time to make sure each family understands their children’s medical conditions. Communication and compassion are essential in Dr. Potts’ practice and her number one priority is to learn about her patients and listen to their concerns and wellness goals.
Married and the mother of four children, Dr. Potts enjoys spending her free time with family, running, cooking, gardening and playing the piano.
