Dr. Frederick Ogwara, MD

Dr. Frederick Ogwara earned his medical degree at the University of Port-Harcourt in Nigeria and completed his residency at Maimonides Infant and Children's Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

In practice since 2006, Dr. Ogwara is board certified in pediatrics. He provides regular care, including routine physical examinations and immunizations, as well as diagnosis and treatment of illness, for patients up to age 20. Dr. Ogwara’s clinical interests include pediatric diabetes, adolescent medicine, epidemiology, emergency medicine, advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and critical care. He also speaks Spanish.

His practice philosophy centers on partnering with families to provide high-quality care tailored to the needs of the child. His patients value his availability, even outside normal hours, his ability to explain conditions and answer questions and his skill in putting children at ease.

He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics and New York Academy of Medicine.

A resident of Rosharon, Dr. Ogwara is married and the father of five daughters. When he is away from his practice, he enjoys soccer and word games.
