Dr. Emily Todd earned her undergraduate degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, during which she was chief resident at Ben Taub and Texas Children’s Hospitals.
Dr. Todd, who is board certified in pediatrics, sees patients from newborns through adolescents. She provides routine well-child care, acute care for illnesses and chronic care for conditions such as asthma, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and gastro-intestinal issues. Her clinical interests center on developmental pediatrics, and she works with families to help them understand what to expect in the child’s development.
In addition to her board certification, Dr. Todd is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and holds certificates in basic life support and pediatric advanced life support.
Her approach to patient care starts with a thoughtful and careful look at the patient, medical issues and family, before proceeding with clinical care. She listens carefully and communicates treatment plans clearly, so patients and parents know what to expect, and what not to expect, going forward.
A resident of Bellaire, Dr. Todd is married and the mother of two children. She is a lay eucharistic minister at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Houston.
