Dr. Annalee Paul earned an undergraduate degree in cellular and molecular biology from Missouri Western State University and her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She completed her residency in the Categorical Pediatric Residency Program at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
Dr. Paul is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). In addition to her board certification, she also holds certificates in basic life support, neonatal resuscitation, pediatric advanced life support and advanced cardiovascular life support.
Dr. Paul sees patients from birth through age 18 and treats acute childhood illnesses, provides well-child checks and counsels parents on growth and development. Rather than focusing on specific areas, her clinical interest encompasses the range of general pediatrics.
Because she focuses on building relationships with children and families, Dr. Paul’s practice philosophy centers on involving the child as much as possible. She learns a great deal from observing and talking to children, so she gathers information directly from them to support the extremely important input that their parents provide.
Dr. Paul wants her patients and families to think of her as an advocate and see their relationship as a team effort. She wants them to be comfortable coming to her with questions and concerns and to feel that she listens to them and takes into account what they’re saying.
