Dr. Lindsay Crawford joined the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth as an Assistant Professor in 2013. She is board certified with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Crawford attended Texas A&M University and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Microbiology. She then attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX on a merit scholarship.

At Baylor, she began to develop her interest in Pediatric Orthopedics spending time doing research at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Houston. She attended Orthopedic residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX that included a research rotation at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. She then trained at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, FL for her Pediatric Orthopedic Fellowship. She has presented her research in scoliosis and clubfoot at multiple national orthopedic meetings.

Dr. Crawford has focused her practice on scoliosis/spine conditions, limb deformity and trauma. 

Since joining Children’s Memorial Hermann, Dr. Crawford has received multiple honors including Houstonia Top Doctor, H Texas Top Doctor, Texas Monthly Super Doctor Rising Star, as well as the Dean’s teaching awards for her role in training McGovern medical students and residents.

Dr. Crawford holds memberships in the following organizations: American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, Ruth Jackson Orthopedic Society and a member of the Scoliosis Research Society.
