Dr. Gloria Gogola earned her undergraduate degree from Tulane University in New Orleans and her medical degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. After a residency in orthopedic surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), she completed a fellowship in hand surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Dr. Gogola, who specializes in pediatric hand and upper limb surgery, is board certified in orthopedic surgery with an additional certification in hand surgery. Her clinical interests include congenital hand differences, upper limb deformity and growth arrest, limb length discrepancy and the treatment of the upper limb in cerebral palsy, arthrogryposis and syndromic conditions. She speaks Spanish.

An associate professor of orthopedic surgery at McGovern Medical School, Dr. Gogola formerly headed the Hand and Upper Limb Service at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Houston.

She is a frequent author and presenter on development of pediatric dexterity, upper-limb motion analysis and evaluation of hand function. Her research interests include improving clinical methods of measuring treatment outcomes in children with spasticity and congenital hand differences.

Dr. Gogola is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Orthopedic Research Society and American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.
