Dr. Abraham Thomas earned his medical degree at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston, where he also completed a residency in anesthesia and a fellowship in pain medicine.

Board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine, Dr. Thomas has practiced in Houston since 1991. His clinical interests include acute pain management, chronic pain, and back and neck pain. He treats patients of all ages and members of his staff speak Spanish.

During his residency, Dr. Thomas was selected the Outstanding Anesthesia Resident in Pain Medicine and named Outstanding Consultant by TIRR Memorial Hermann (formerly known as The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research) in 2003.

Dr. Thomas develops individualized pain management plans for patients who suffer from chronic pain. Patients who have suffered for years and found little success with medication management say he has “healing hands.”

Outside of his practice, Dr. Thomas enjoys spending time with his family.
