Dr. Munir Shah, MD

Dr. Munir Shah earned his undergraduate degree from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Ind., and his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Shah completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and a fellowship in upper extremity surgery and microsurgery at the Hand Center of San Antonio.

In practice since 1994, Dr. Shah is board certified in orthopedic surgery and holds a certificate of additional qualification in hand surgery. He specializes in treating an array of musculoskeletal problems ranging from athletic injuries and fractures to carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis.

He believes that many conditions respond well to non-surgical treatment and that therapy is often critical to achieving excellent results. Patients describe him as patient, professional and friendly. They rate him highly on his willingness to listen and spend time with them, clarity of instructions, accuracy of diagnosis and follow-up.

Dr. Shah is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
