Dr. Keith Schauder, MD

Detroit native Dr. Keith Schauder earned his undergraduate degree at Albion College in Michigan and his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Schauder, who has been in practice since 1985, is board certified in orthopedic surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His clinical interests include sports-related ailments and injuries; arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery; ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) reconstruction; meniscal repair; rotator cuff repair; adult reconstructive surgery; total knee replacement; carpal tunnel release; fracture care; and muscle, tendon and ligament injuries. 

The focus of Dr. Schauder’s practice is his concern for the total well-being of his patients and their return to active lifestyles, including sports and work, as soon as possible. Patients describe him as a kind, sympathetic and down-to-earth physician who takes time to carefully explain conditions and procedures and to fully answer questions.

Dr. Schauder, a former collegiate football player, has been the team physician for Alvin High School sports since 1990. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and Harris County Medical Association.
