Dr. Jose Rodriguez, MD

Dr. Jose Rodriguez-Cordova, a native of Puerto Rico, earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan and his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He completed an internship and surgical residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, an orthopedic residency and a research fellowship in laser surgery at New York Medical College in Valhalla and a fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery at the Texas Back Institute in association with the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Rodriguez-Cordova is board certified in orthopedic surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). His primary clinical interest is spine surgery.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Puerto Rico Medical Association, North American Spine Society, Houston Orthopedic Society and Texas Spine Society. He also serves as a clinical instructor of orthopedic surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

Away from his practice, Dr. Rodriguez-Cordova likes spending time with his family and enjoying his favorite sports, including rowing and biking. He’s also a remote-control airplane enthusiast and bonsai cultivator.
