Dr. Jack Jensen, MD

Dr. Jack Jensen earned his medical degree at Kansas University in Kansas City. He completed a residency in orthopedics at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Oregon.

In practice since 1976, Dr. Jensen is board certified in sports medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. His specialty is knee conditions with clinical interests that include fitness, sports medicine, knee surgery and shoulder surgery.

A former collegiate athlete, Dr. Jensen has served as a physician for the Goodwill Games, World Championships of Gymnastics, U.S. Olympic Training Center, Olympic Games, U.S. Clay Court championships and the Masters golf tournament. He has also worked with the Houston Rockets, Houston Astros, Houston Texans, Cirque du Soleil and Houston Wranglers tennis team as well as served as team physician for the Missouri Tigers. A former associate editor of the peer-reviewed journal Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, he has co-authored several journal articles and written two books.

He is a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the U.S. Olympic Sports Medicine Society.
