Native Houstonian Dr. Braden Hartline earned his medical degree at St. George’s University in Grenada. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and a fellowship in adult reconstruction (total joint replacement) at Emory University in Atlanta. He also completed 2 years of post-doctoral clinical research focused on patient outcomes following orthopedic surgery.

In practice since 2012, Dr. Hartline is board certified in orthopedic surgery and specializes in primary (first-time) and revision (subsequent) hip and knee replacement. His primary clinical interests are osteoarthritis, post-traumatic avascular necrosis, hip dysplasia, congenital and other malformations, hip resurfacing and peri-prosthetic fractures.

Dr. Hartline creates individualized treatment plans based on a patient’s specific condition and desired activity level. He utilizes up-to-date surgical practices, including anterior hip replacement, hip resurfacing and robotic-assisted joint replacement. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Hartline enjoys spending time in and around the Houston community with his wife and daughters.
