Dr. Ore-Ofeoluwatomi Adesina, MD

Dr. Ore-ofe Adesina earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, where he also finished an internship in internal medicine and a residency in ophthalmology at the Dean McGee Eye Institute. He completed a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology and a preceptorship in oculoplastic surgery at the University of Utah Moran Eye Center.

Board certified in ophthalmology, Dr. Adesina has been in practice since 2008. He sees patients ages 5 and older for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of visual disorders related to the nervous system and orbit. This includes optic neuritis, papilledema (swollen optic nerves from high intracranial pressure), thyroid eye disease and myasthenia gravis as well as visual loss and double vision from optic nerve or brain-related disorders, including stroke, brain tumors, infections, inflammations and trauma. Dr. Adesina also is fluent in conversational Spanish.

In addition to the medical care of neuro-ophthalmic patients, Dr. Adesina performs functional oculoplastic and orbital surgeries in inpatient and outpatient settings. These include involutional and paralytic eyelid malposition, orbital decompressions, medial wall and orbital floor fracture repairs, optic nerve sheath fenestrations and adult strabismus surgery.

Dr. Adesina’s patients appreciate his interpersonal skills and how he takes the time to help them understand their complex conditions and treatment options. He strives to treat his patients as he would want his family members to be treated.

He is a member of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society for Ophthalmic Trauma, National Medical Association, Texas Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and Houston Ophthalmological Society.

Dr. Adesina is married and lives in southwest suburban Houston. He enjoys jogging, watching sports and podcasting.
